CASTELLO VOGADRO DI CERRIONE

Dei due castelli di Cerrione, a seguito dei cannoneggiamenti tedeschi del 10 Ottobre 1944, restano  solo imponenti ruderi. Del castello degli Avogadro di Cerrione, situato in un ampio terreno verde in via Libertà, in direzione Mongrando, resta la torre-porta, tracce del ponte levatoio e del fossato,  alcuni tratti di spesse murature, i sotterranei e l’alta Torre, singolare perché cilindrica alla base e poligonale nella parte superiore, coronata da merli a coda di rondine.

Of the two castles of Cerrione, following the German shelling on 10 October 1944, only imposing ruins remain. Of the Avogadro di Cerrione castle, located in a large green area in via Libertà, in the direction of Mongrando, all that remains are the gate tower, traces of the drawbridge and the moat, some sections of thick walls, the cellars and the high tower, unique because it is cylindrical at the base and polygonal in the upper part, crowned with swallowtail battlements.

CHIESA DELLA SS. ANNUNZIATA

La chiesa parrocchiale della SS. Annunziata a Magnonevolo era in origine costituita da un’unica navata in stile romanico, come il campanile. Fu edificata presumibilmente nel sec. XII. Colpisce l’attuale facciata, nella parte soprastante il portale d’ingresso, in mattoni a vista in elegante stile barocco.

The parish church of SS. Annunziata a Magnonevolo was originally made up of a single Romanesque nave, like the beli tower. ft was presumably built in the century. XII. The current facade is striking, in the part above the entrance porta!, in exposed brick in an elegant Baroque style.

FONTANA DEI GEMELLAGGI

È il simbolo dei gemellaggi con diversi centri europei per i quali Cerrione si è distinta ed è stata tre volte premiata dal Consiglio d’Europa (ultima, 2018, la Plaque d’Honour), tutti riconoscimenti per quei Comuni che hanno promosso iniziative sempre più innovative con le città europee gemellate.

It is the symbol of the twinnings with various European municipalities. Cerrione has distinguished itself in EU and has been awarded three times by the Council of Europe (last, 2018, the Plaque d’Honour), awards assigned to Municipalities that have always promoted initiatives and friendship with European cities.
